- May 13, 2008 Stated what she needed -- then said, "I'm sorry." Answered a question I asked -- then stammered, "I'm really sorry." Finally, I went: "Why?" "Because I don't want you to go out of your way," she said. "Well, I'm not," I said, and smiled. "You should save apologies for people you've really screwed over ... like, if you hit someone with your car? That would be a good time to say I'm sorry." She said, "OK ... I'm really sorry." This just in: My friend John Hacker, who took that lightning pic up there, was interviewed by the BBC about the tornadoes down his way over the weekend. I think it's pretty damn cool!
